Building a Big Data platform for the corporation
Starting point
- To be able to offer and implement Big Data projects within the group in a professional service environment, a Big Data Service and Operations platform should be created for two components: IBM SPSS and Hadoop 2.1
- Establishing a technical and organisational foundation for the successful go-live of Big Data projects. Ensuring platform readiness for onboarding
Procedure
- Agile project approach with 6 development iterations and 2 test sprints
- Creating a product backlog with user stories for:
- Governance
- Architecture
- Application Management
- Technical Installation
- Technical Operations
- Quality assurance, risk management, and stakeholder involvement through regular reviews/retrospectives

- Documented procedures and instructions for the business lines and IT service employees
- Company-wide transparency and stability through central service transition, service operation, and processes
- Creating the conceptual foundation for the billing of Big Data services
