Woodmark in 7th place among data & analytics specialists in Germany
According to the latest Lünendonk study, Woodmark has achieved an excellent 7th place among data & analytics specialists in Germany. This puts it behind the top 3 market providers in the chasing pack. This separate ranking examined which service providers generate at least 70 percent of their revenue with data & analytics services and at the same time achieve significant revenue shares in each of the three areas (data strategy, data engineering and data operations).
Survey methods and focus of the study
The study, which has now identified the leading 22 service providers and top 12 specialists in the field of data & analytics services operating in Germany for the second year in a row, is based not only on the perspective of data & AI companies but also on surveys of 176 large user companies from the DACH region. The companies surveyed come from the industrial and automotive sectors, retail, the financial sector, telecommunications/media, the energy and logistics industry and the public sector.
The Lünendonk study particularly highlights the growing importance of data and artificial intelligence as key drivers of digital transformation. Companies are facing the challenge of using their data systematically, as many digitalization projects have so far failed due to inadequate data maintenance and data silos. Topics such as data management, data governance and the development of data platforms are increasingly coming into focus, while the pressure continues to rise due to the rapid development of AI. Thanks to the comprehensive analysis, the study provides a multifaceted overview of the German-speaking data & analytics market.

Looking at the entire spectrum of service providers in the data & analytics services segment of the Lünendonk study, Woodmark Consulting AG is the challenger to medium-sized and large IT service providers and data & analytics specialists (Figure 1). If one concentrates on the leading data & analytics specialists headquartered in Germany, who generate more than 70 percent of their turnover with data & analytics services, Woodmark is among the runners-up (Figure 2).
