Woodmark Ranked 6th Among Germany’s Leading Specialists for Data & AI Services
09.12.2025
In the new 2025/2026 Lünendonk Study “The Market for Data & AI Services in Germany”, Woodmark Consulting GmbH has secured an excellent 6th place among the leading specialists for Data & AI (previous year: 7th place). This positions Woodmark once again firmly within the strong contender field.
Continuing Strong Performance Among the Top Providers
The study positions Woodmark in the Data and Analytics services market as a challenger to medium-sized and large IT service providers, as well as to specialised D&A firms (Figure 1). Among the leading German D&A specialists that generate more than 70 per cent of their revenue from data and AI services, Woodmark ranks among the ambitious contenders (Figure 2).
Key Findings of the Study
The study highlights that Data & AI have become mission-critical infrastructure for the digital economy. Data is no longer used solely to increase efficiency but has evolved into a strategic asset of powering innovation, new business models and long-term competitiveness. A major driver of this development is the breakthrough of Generative AI and the rise of agent-based AI.
Many companies are currently undergoing profound transformation. They are investing in modern data platforms, cloud architectures, and robust governance structures to ensure that AI applications can be operated securely and at scale. Despite economic uncertainties, the Data & AI services market continues to grow at a double-digit rate, significantly outpacing the overall IT market.
Basis of the Findings
For the study, Lünendonk identified around 40 relevant service providers and collected their responses via a structured questionnaire. Only companies meeting defined criteria were included, such as a high proportion of revenue from consulting, software development or systems integration, as well as substantial income from Data and AI Strategy, Engineering and Operations. In addition, 170 user companies from the DACH region were interviewed by telephone.
